{"id":371,"date":"2023-05-01T13:18:39","date_gmt":"2023-05-01T13:18:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beinthecloud.biz\/sfdc\/1\/?p=371"},"modified":"2023-05-01T13:18:39","modified_gmt":"2023-05-01T13:18:39","slug":"salesforce-fiscal-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beinthecloud.biz\/sfdc\/1\/2023\/05\/01\/salesforce-fiscal-year\/","title":{"rendered":"Salesforce Fiscal Year\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>1) Classic UI<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Setup&nbsp;<\/strong>|&nbsp;<strong>Administer&nbsp;<\/strong>|&nbsp;<strong>Company Profile | Fiscal Year<\/strong>, then set values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.1) Fiscal Year Start Month &#8211; Choose the calendar month which your organization uses to begin each fiscal year<br><br>1.2) Fiscal Year is Based On &#8211;&nbsp;Use this field to determine the fiscal&nbsp;<strong><em>year number<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;choosing either [The Starting Month] or [The Ending Month].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:&nbsp;<\/strong>The number of each fiscal year can be determined by the calendar year of either the beginning or end of your fiscal year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>2) Lightning UI<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Setup | Company Settings&nbsp;<\/strong>|&nbsp;<strong>Calendar Settings&nbsp;<\/strong>|&nbsp;<strong>Fiscal Year<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From here, you can control and define custom fiscal years to match your company&#8217;s financial planning requirements. There are two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.1) Standard Fiscal Year &#8211;&nbsp;Follows the Gregorian calendar year, but starts on the first day of any month you choose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>2.2) Custom Fiscal Year &#8211; Follows a custom structure you define. For example, you could have 4 quarters with 13 weeks per quarter in a 4-4-5 pattern or 13 periods per year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So for example if your fiscal year is Sept-August the fiscal year beginning Sept, 2008 will end Aug, 2009 (calendar months).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:&nbsp;<\/strong>You can either have that be&nbsp;<strong>FY2008&nbsp;<\/strong>(per calendar year of first month) or&nbsp;<strong>FY2009&nbsp;<\/strong>(based on calendar year of ending month).<br><br><strong>WARNING<\/strong>: User Quotas will be deleted whenever fiscal year is changed.
